So a little bit on me.

Well, since this is "my Oshkosh" How about some on who I am? 

My name is Joel Riley but many call me Joe D or Jody.

 I am a car enthusiast, Mainly VWs but I really do enjoy anything with an engine that goes Vroom vroom and leaves copious amounts of tire smoke and rubber on the pavement!
 I started to do this, (and yes, it has been slow but I hope to pick up momentum as time goes on) as I saw a need to highlight the things this city has going on. There are so many things around here that nobody has any idea about. From the bursting at the seams arts and entertainment scene, to the outstanding selection of food options available to us here. And yes, I absolutely love food. I have a strong background in the culinary arts and will probably sometimes show you what I'm up to in my kitchen.
I have a beautiful family that makes me swell with pride when I think about them,

That really is me in a nutshell. I could probably blather on for awhile but will spare you right now. As time goes on and I become a little more comfortable with this format and find my voice with the keyboard I am sure you will receive many more deep insights into what keeps me ticking, but for now I am working on safe things. Features on local businesses, bands, whatever catches my eye. If you see something noteworthy, feel free to leave a comment as I only have 2 eyes and don't see it all! Thanks.
