Dubs In the Valley 7/20/13

So let's get this rolling....
I had said in the beginning I run a carshow right here in our humble little burg of Oshkosh WI. It is called Dubs In the Valley, or to many enthusiasts DIV. Being in our 7th year, we have learned alot of lessons along the way, getting cars to fit better in the space provided, how to organize vendors and sponsors, how to ensure smooth operation at our registration tables and get cars through the process faster, all kinds of stuff.

The one thing that has remained the same in our formula since day one was we always try to ensure everybody has a fun, safe event, and we like to highlight things in town that are TC&RS (totally cool & really sweet, you may hear this again from me in the future) With over 300 cars in attendance this year, it is clear that we are doing something right.

And our hosts, Beckets Restaurant. How could I forget about them? They have been about the most gracious hosts any event could ask for, and happily I might add. Beckets has hosted us for 5 years straight now, which for such a unique venue, we couldn't be happier! Accommodating, and helpful as well as truly passionate about having the show there so I need to say thanks to Chris Larson and his crew one more time for that, and where's that Datsun!? Anyway, that is where the show is held.

You can expect to see some of the finest modified from absolutely crazy to stockish OEM+  style cars. and there is no discrimination either. We don't judge the cars before they are there, and we have an open exhibition class for non VW?Audi cars as at the end of the day, we just like things that go vroom vroom. (sound familiar?)

We like to have an open and inviting atmosphere if only to not scare off people who are interested in maybe starting to build their cars, from light modifications, which eventually turn into full blown builds (trust me, it's unavoidable. From the first time you stand back and admire something you did to your car, the bloody knuckles, strange oddly twisted positions trying to get your hand in that one spot, if you enjoy the end result, you will be at it again) it needs nurturing, not egos and attitudes or someone who may do something brilliant someday may walk away from it before it ever started with a bad taste in their mouth.

So take the hint all you locals with cars I see driving around that I don't know, this is your invite! I want to see you there!
